Search Engine Positioning
As part of our Website Optimisation Service we will review your individual web pages and make recommendations on how to optimise them for the search engines and directories.
You can either choose from one of our Three Plans or we will customise a plan to meet your exact needs.
The best website optimisation follows three steps:
The First Time - When we design your website or when you choose to optimise it for the search engines we will review each web page and make changes to get the best initial results. Each web page must be submitted to the major search engines.
The Second Time - After your web pages have been included in the search engines we will analyse the search results and website statistics. Some results will be very good, most likely the rankings for your most important keywords, less important keywords will not rank as well. Some submissions do not work the first time, if necessary we will resubmit your web pages.
Follow on Optimisation - It generally takes a new website 6 months to achieve its highest rankings, it will often first appear in as little as one week but will require much longer to rise in the rankings. We will monitor those rankings and if they decline we will inform you about the situation and make recommendations to improve the rankings.

Keywords are your most powerful tool in optimising your website. They must FIRST be identified and then used correctly on each web page to ensure the search engines give them the priority you want.
There are many parts of a web page that need to be adjusted and optimised to get the highest rankings possible in the search engines. These include:
HTML Title Tag
HTML Description Tag
HTML Keyword Tag
HTML Comments
HTML Alt Tag for graphic images and links
HTML Heading Tags
Keyword frequency, font size and location on the web page
The use of keyword synonyms
The number of words
The number and size of images
Other factors that can affect the ranking of your website include:
The number of external links to your site, especially from related websites
The quality of the page and site content (of special importance to the human reviewed directories)
Time to load (large graphic images can slow this and time out the spider or annoy the human reviewer)
Other methods of optimising your website include:
Creating multiple doorway pages each focusing on a different keyword. In fact every page on your website is a doorway page but by focusing new pages on different keywords you expand your coverage by the search engines. Like having more than one category entry in the yellow pages.
Creating more than one website with keywords incorporated in each domain name and focusing on different keywords.
Exchanging links with related websites - This increases your link popularity which improves your ranking in some search engines, i.e. Google.
Our ultimate weapon is the Page Critic, we will analyse one or more of your web pages in comparison to other websites ranking above you in a keyword search for one search engine. After the analysis you will receive recommendations on how to optimise your web page for a specific search engine. This is a very time consuming process and is usually performed on websites that already have good rankings in most search engines but want to improve it for a specific keyword in a specific search engine.
